This charming piece rests on four cabriole legs and boasts a particularly harmonious silhouette, typical of French Rococo-inspired designs.

The front is adorned with a beautiful carved medallion depicting agricultural symbols: a straw hat, a rake, and sheaves of wheat or oats, surrounded by finely crafted foliage. This pastoral theme is particularly evocative of rural life and the decorative arts of the late 19th century.

It opens with a drawer in the frieze and a drop-down door revealing an interior compartment lined with marble, a characteristic feature of bedside tables and dressing tables of this period.

The top is covered with a thick slab of white marble veined with gray, molded around the edge. The undulating back panel features a small shelf for a watch, candle, or other everyday items.

The piece is distinguished by the quality of its craftsmanship, the delicacy of its carvings, and its particularly elegant proportions.
