Empire period somno, first quarter of the 19th century, with a cylindrical wooden body featuring pronounced grain.
The piece rests on a rectangular wooden base and is topped with a circular gray marble slab veined with white and black. Two detached columns flank the arched door, adorned with gilt brass capitals and bases, characteristic of the Empire style. The interior offers two levels of storage with wooden shelves.
Workshop report: original varnished finish showing signs of wear and some localized cracking around the top; brass fittings patinated with age. The seller states that it is in very good original condition, with no reported subsequent work. Cleaning of the fittings may be considered at the buyer's request.
