Curated by renowned art historian Jean Leymarie, the exhibition explored the profound influence of Mediterranean light, mythology, and coastal landscapes on the artistic vision of Pablo Picasso. The poster reproduces Plate No. 83, Minotaure, une coupe à la main, et jeune femme, an etching executed by Picasso on May 17, 1933. This celebrated image belongs to the legendary Suite Vollard, the iconic series of 100 prints commissioned by the influential art dealer Ambroise Vollard and considered one of the most important graphic works of the 20th century. Printed by Le Edizioni dell'Elefante / L. Chiovini, the distinguished artisanal publishing house founded in Rome in 1964, the poster is produced on a textured paper with a subtle embossed linear finish. The poster remains housed in its original period frame, which we have chosen to retain in order to preserve the piece and its authentic vintage character. Condition is good vintage overall. The poster shows no tears or major damage, with only light age-related toning to the paper and a small stain on the right side, as shown in the photographs. These minor signs of age are consistent with its vintage nature and do not detract from its display presence.
