Romantic and charming, this wall mirror evokes the golden age of post-war décor. Its elongated shield-shaped silhouette, with its gentle cut, lends it a light and familiar elegance, in the style of Louis XV revisited with a touch of whimsy. A finely cut bevel around the glass captures the light and subtly accentuates the shape. What makes this mirror truly captivating are the three floral compositions applied to the edge: roses crafted in repoussé gilt metal with touching botanical detail. The matte gilding of these ornaments has retained its beautiful warmth. A lovely piece for a wall that deserves a touch of poetry.
The glass is vintage and dates from the 1950s. The mirror's silvering shows signs of age.
