This charming chocolate brown lacquered circular Space Age side table with metal tulip base and glass top has been manufactured in Germany 1960s. It is in very nice condition whith some slight colour retouches and still shows the original manufacturers label on the underside. Please have a look at the pictures! The German company opal is well-known for their stylish small furniture’s like coffee tables or bar trolleys. Sometimes their designs were inspired by Eeero Saarinen´s tulip tables, as this one shows. As the table has a storage shelf under the glass top and will be also perfect to be used as bedside table and will be a perfect addition to any midcentury modern or space age interior! This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
