The wear and patina on this large trade sign is so gorgeous! Something only time can develop.
On our hand is a late 19th Century double side trade sign constructed of wood with metal hardware. It advertises "J. A. Stone Law Office" in bold hand written lettering. The first line is curved which adds a nice visual appeal to an already beautiful piece. One side is fainter than the other, which is normal of these signs. The middle portion is made up of planks and we love that a portion of the corners are chipped off, revealing their inner working. The frame is a little loose, as expected, and because we like to leave things as found we leave it to you if you like to firm them up a little, or not. You can still hang and enjoy it as is.
