A charming, decorative bowl created in the trademark hues of the Cloutiers making it immediately identifiable as their creation. Painted at the centre of the platter is a delightful bouquet of flowers in a striped globular vase. Oozing Southern French charm, it may be placed anywhere in your home or workplace to the delight of viewers. It is in very good overall condition. Maker's mark on the underside. About the Designers : Jean and Robert Cloutier are called the twin brothers of ceramics. After having apprenticed for Lafourcade, Rivière, Georges Jouve and Pol Chambost, the brothers created their own workshop located in Paris in 1955. They produced both functional and dreamlike decorative objects. After Paris and a brief interlude in the town of Yonne, France, the Cloutiers put down roots in the Languedoc region of southern France.
