Developed in the 1930s by antonio da ros and brought to international prominence during the 1950s through the work of flavio poli as artistic director of seguso vetri d’arte, this technique is characterized by multiple layers of colored glass submerged within clear crystal.

dating from the 1960s, this elegant piece features a jug-like form with fluid, sensual lines and a beautifully balanced color composition. Layers of deep blue, muted green, and smoky grey glass are encased within clear crystal, while a vivid orange accent line provides a dramatic contrast and visual harmony.

as is common with many murano glass pieces of this period, the absence of labels or signatures makes a definitive attribution impossible.
