This rare floor lamp represents a pinnacle of 1950s Italian design, born from the creative genius of Angelo Brotto for the prestigious Esperia manufacturer. The piece perfectly embodies the ante-litteram "Space Age" aesthetic and the dynamism of the period, blending geometric rigor and material research.
The structure features a slender tripod in black-painted metal, which elegantly intersects at a focal point held by a refined fastening, before opening out in a radial pattern upward. The contrasting colors and materials are accentuated by the gold-plated brass tips, which lend a touch of preciousness and vertical thrust to the base.
The lighting element is a masterpiece of balance: a red-painted aluminum hemisphere (with distinctive holes for heat dispersion and radial light projection) embracing a globe of satin-finish opal glass. This combination allows for a soft, diffused light, transforming the lamp not only into a functional object but also into a true luminous sculpture. The lamp is in excellent vintage condition, with the original patina attesting to its authenticity and age. There is a slight dent on the red metal shade, clearly visible in the photographs provided. This detail is consistent with the age and use of the item and does not compromise its functionality or overall charming aesthetic.
An exclusive piece that defines the room with its graphic silhouette. The combination of primary red with black and brass makes it ideal for contemporary interiors seeking a high-class "mid-century" touch.
