A 1959 painting on paper by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This abstract work depicts two figures facing each other while standing in the midst of a vibrant landscape with a rising sun in the background. Displayed in a gold tone frame and a white mat, the painting is dated to upper left and signed to the lower left.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
