However, the … Read more Pale, pale blue French Art Deco oyster plate were usually fabricated by Sarreguemines between the 1920's and 1950's. However, the spelling of "Seraggemines" on the back stamp implies this plate was produced during a period of German annexation of the land., probably before 1918. Though traditionally deemed an oyster plate due to its six compartments and center well, this plate can also be used for deviled eggs or as a snack plate. Sourced in Paris, six, in excellent condition, are available. Stamped Seraggemines FRANCE and numbered 5432 (factory mold model number) and "H" (an internal production/decorator mark) to the underside. See less
