It is easy to focus on its warm visual characteristics, the method of decoration, and its distinctive grain satinwood. Satinwood is highly prized for its dense, fine grain and its radiant, honey-golden or straw-colored hue. It has a natural, lustrous shimmer (chatoyancy) that reflects light, making it look almost like silk or satin. The Shape (Oval): The oval form signifies elegance and high-end craftsmanship, as curving satinwood and it's crossbanded borders requires exceptional woodworking.
Adorned with delicate, luminous, honey-toned West Indian satinwood polychrome neoclassical motifs featuring beautiful garlands of flora and ribbons expressions of nature and beauty. The hinged glass top perfect for showcasing unique small treasures. See less
