The vases, of ovoid form, feature a refined “Bleu de Roi” background decorated with elegant ornamental motifs in pure gold. On the front of each piece is a large oval reserve painted with mythological and allegorical scenes, characterized by a delicate palette and remarkable execution quality, typical of the finest productions from the Napoleonic period and the Second Republic.

The side handles, bases, and borders are enriched with sumptuous gilt bronze applications, while the lids are topped with spectacular floral compositions in gilt bronze, executed with extraordinary naturalistic craftsmanship.
