A striking set of four vintage Pablo Picasso Tête de mousquetaire offset lithograph prints.
This set includes four related musketeer head portraits, each with its own distinct personality:
A colorful line portrait with green, blue, red, yellow, and purple detailing
A black, gray, and pale blue musketeer head
A soft pastel portrait with green curls and delicate linework
A blue and purple painted musketeer head with bold expression
Small in scale but strong on the wall, the set works beautifully in a collected gallery wall, powder room, study, library, office, hallway, or layered into built-in shelving.
Each work features Picasso’s late-career musketeer subject, one of the defining motifs of his final period. The musketeer allowed Picasso to revisit the old masters, Spanish court painting, Rembrandt, Velázquez, and the theatrical figure of the seventeenth-century gentleman through his own loose, charged, modernist line.
