The ivory high-pile wool ground is structured by bold, graphic color blocks — cobalt blue, fire red, charcoal black, and dusty rose — arranged with a compositional confidence that recalls mid-century abstract painting. The design is simultaneously rooted in Berber weaving tradition and entirely contemporary in its visual language.
Beni M'rirt rugs are woven in the highlands near Khenifra, Morocco, by women who inherit their weaving knowledge through generations. Unlike the finer knotting of Beni Ourain, M'rirt pieces are known for their exceptionally thick, long pile — one of the most plush underfoot of all Moroccan Berber styles. The graphic boldness of this particular piece makes it an exceptional statement rug for a living room, bedroom, or open-plan space.
The pile is dense and deeply soft. The wool is natural and undyed in the ivory ground, with vivid dyes used in the color block motifs. This piece is in new condition — never used, no odor, no repairs.
Dimensions: 78 inches x 118 inches (6'6" x 9'10") / 200 x 300 cm. Sourced directly from Moroccan craftswomen through an established import relationship with artisan cooperatives in Casablanca. A certificate of origin is available upon request.
