A striking set of five vintage Swedish Argenta pottery coasters by the renowned Swedish ceramic manufacturer Gustavsberg. Finished in the iconic mottled turquoise-green glaze for which the Argenta line is celebrated, each coaster features a different hand-inlaid sterling silver motif, creating a beautifully cohesive yet varied presentation.
Designed by Wilhelm Kåge (1889–1960) and first shown at the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930, Argenta pieces are prized for their sophisticated combination of rich glaze and silver decoration. These coasters display wonderfully as functional tabletop accessories, beneath candles, or incorporated into a curated bar, library or timeless interior.
The undersides are marked Gustavsberg Argenta 924.
