The piece is a single-drawer dressing table with an attached tilting swing mirror, constructed in quarter-sawn oak. The overall form is rectilinear and restrained, consistent with the late Victorian / transitional Arts & Crafts style, circa 1885–1900.
Notable features include:
• Quarter-sawn oak throughout, with clearly visible medullary ray-fleck grain on the mirror uprights and table surface
• Gothic pointed finials on the mirror support uprights — a characteristic Arts & Crafts / Gothic Revival detail
• Hand-cut dovetail joinery on the drawer corners, with the irregular spacing typical of pre-1900 handcraft construction
• Original or very early finish, with significant areas of original green painted detail surviving on the back of the mirror support base and uprights
• Original hook-and-eye hardware for mirror angle adjustment, with aged patina consistent with the period
• Two original cast brass drop bail drawer pulls featuring an ornate grotesque/Green Man face mask with Rococo-style acanthus leaf surround — consistent with High Victorian hardware of the 1880s–1890s
• Drawer secondary wood (sides and back) in a lighter wood, likely pine or poplar, consistent with period construction practice
- Sits on 4 wheels
• A hairline crack along the grain of the drawer bottom panel, consistent with seasonal wood movement over 130+ years. While I didn't even notice the crack until cleaning out the drawer in preparation for this listing (it still held the weight of numerous contents), you will definitely want to do a slight repair before using.
The piece appears largely original and unrestored, retaining its aged patina and original hardware. It was acquired in the 1970s from a New England antique dealer, suggesting it had already been in regional circulation prior to that purchase.

There are also light scuff marks in certain places that, while not highly noticeable, could also use refinishing (see examples in pics) less
