Pair of antique Art Nouveau vases made of blue and green glazed majolica earthenware, better known as Flemish earthenware, marked ‘Made in Belgium’ on the bottom, circa 1900.
These glazed vases originate from the ‘Aesthetic Movement’, circa 1890. They feature a drip glaze of green and blue and floral decoration all around; what is special about these vases is that the neck has a square shape that gradually transitions into a round shape.
These objects are in very good antique condition, with no cracks or large chips, a small flaw in the glaze (a dull spot) and a tiny chip at the bottom rim of one of the vases, and a larger flaw in the glaze that was touched up at some point, but is very difficult to see once the vase is standing upright; check the photos for more details!
