Cushman Manufacturing Company of North Bennington, Vermont — one of America’s most respected mid-century craft furniture makers.

This is a truly one-of-a-kind level of where from a well kept home, making it nicely worn in, but still very clean.

This set features a cantilever leaf extension table (leaves pull out from beneath the top — a more refined mechanism than the standard drop-leaf) paired with six matching handled-back side chairs in solid maple.
Sourced from a distinguished designer estate in Lakeville, Connecticut — a country compound assembled by noted designers Alan Wanzenberg and Pepe Lopez — this set carries exceptional provenance and has lived beautifully in a sun-filled dining room.
The sculptural chairs with their carved cutout handles, saddled seats, and splayed legs are quintessential Cushman — sturdy, warm, and surprisingly modern in profile. The table presents a clean rectangular form with tapered legs and rich maple grain.
