The fringe adds a soft dimensional border that moves independently of the cushion face, a quality that flat piped or corded edges do not produce. Unlike trimmed or plain-seam finishes, the brush fringe changes the overall silhouette of the cover and adds a layered textile presence to the piece.

The gold texture is woven into the navy fabric using metallic thread, which means the abstract pattern carries a slight physical dimension rather than lying completely flat. Because the gold distribution is irregular across the face, the cover responds differently to different light sources, shifting between a warm amber tone and a brighter metallic quality depending on the angle. The brush fringe is densely packed and hand-sewn to all four edges, the navy tone of the fringe drawn directly from the ground color of the fabric. Not printed; the metallic effect is woven directly into the fabric.
