Salvaged from a 1920 Craftsman home in Rockford, Illinois, this original Bradley & Hubbard wall sconce is classic American Victorian lighting at its best.
Bradley & Hubbard Mfg. Co. of Meriden, Connecticut produced this cast-brass kerosene fixture circa 1890–1905. It retains its original japanned-black and polished brass finish with the ornate foliate cresting B&H is known for, plus the period milk glass smoke bell shade.
Details that matter to collectors:
• Cast brass backplate with scrolled crest and original mounting holes
• Original brass oil font with B&H thumbwheel and burner (unconverted, for oil)
• White milk glass shade, no chips or cracks, light wear consistent with age
• Original patina throughout — not polished, not lacquered, exactly as found
• Complete and solid; burner turns freely
A wonderful piece for an entry, powder room, or flanking a mantel in a restored Victorian, Arts & Crafts, or early Colonial Revival interior.
Provenance: Rockford Salvage Co., removed during careful deconstruction, Rockford IL.

• Shade diameter: 4.75"
Condition: Good antique condition with original surface wear, light tarnish to brass, minor paint flecks to backplate from house. Oil font is clean inside, no dents. Milk glass shade is excellent with no chips. Sold as-is for decorative use.
