The top is the star: parquet parquetry in a starburst/ Versailles pattern using mixed oak and pine tones. The wood has a beautiful honey-bleached patina with honest wear, scratches, and age marks that prove its authenticity. You can see the hand-cut joinery and peg construction typical of pre-industrial furniture.

The pedestal base is a massive turned column on a wide stepped circular base - classic French Provincial "pied de colonne" style. Solid and heavy, built to last 200 years. The round version is perfect for intimate dinners, then expand it to square for larger gatherings. Space-saving + statement piece. See less
