Rare signed bronze sculpture by renowned Czech-Canadian sculptor Lea Vivot, dated 1974 and numbered 5/7. This intimate figurative composition depicts a seated couple embracing on a bench, a theme that became one of Vivot’s most celebrated artistic motifs.
Executed in bronze with a rich dark patina and mounted on a custom hardwood plinth bearing the artist’s nameplate, the sculpture captures the warmth, humanity, and emotional connection for which Vivot’s work is known. The piece is signed, dated 1974, and marked edition 5 of 7.
Vivot’s bench sculptures have been exhibited internationally and are represented in numerous public and private collections. Her figurative bronze works depicting couples, families, and human relationships have become her artistic signature.
