Antique ceramic lamp, hand painted labelled Damascus Holland.
Gouda Holland is the broader name for the world-famous, brightly colored Art Nouveau and Art Deco pottery made in the city of Gouda from the late 1890s through the mid-20th century. Damascus (or Damascus Holland) is simply a specific decorative pattern line within that Gouda pottery family.
Damascus pottery was more Persian/Rhodian inspired from early 1910s.
