Oil on board. 1960s. A raw and gestural abstract work featuring a dark central form against a muted pink-red ground. The paint is applied thickly with tactile palette-knife texture, giving the surface a physical and expressive presence. The tension between the black mass and the surrounding color creates a mysterious and emotionally charged atmosphere. Artist: Charles Kiffer Material: Oil on board Actual size: 24 × 35 cm Signature: Unsigned on front (artist’s name annotated verso) Period: 1960s Condition: Light surface patina and wear, otherwise good condition. Charles Kiffer was a French painter and poster artist, best known for his portraits and iconic posters of Parisian performers such as Edith Piaf and Maurice Chevalier.
