Exceptional Art Deco Murano Glass Chandelier by Ercole Barovier for Barovier & Toso, Italy, circa 1930s
A rare and highly refined Murano glass chandelier designed by Ercole Barovier for Barovier & Toso in the 1930s, embodying the elegance and craftsmanship that established the Venetian master among the leading figures of twentieth-century decorative arts.
The chandelier features a beautifully proportioned central bowl in ribbed Murano glass, suspended from a twisted glass stem and adorned with a spectacular arrangement of hand-crafted glass elements. Ten sculptural lower leaves gracefully frame the body, while fifteen delicate cascading glass rods form an ethereal crown above, creating a sophisticated interplay of light, transparency and movement.
Illuminated by five lights, the chandelier provides both functional lighting and an extraordinary decorative presence, making it ideal for grand living rooms, entrance halls, dining rooms, luxury apartments or important interior design projects.
Presented in excellent original condition, with all glass elements intact and no visible losses or restorations.
