Beautiful French Art Nouveau vase made of polychrome crackle majolica earthenware, decorated with peonies and floral ornamentation, numbered and marked at the bottom.
Gustave De Bruyn (Leuven 1838 - 1916 Lille) was a Belgian ceramist and the founder of the Fives earthenware factory, based in an industrial suburb of Lille, France.
Gustave De Bruyn participated in the 1889 World's Fair in Paris and received a silver medal for his fine earthenware and cookware.
In short, a master in the manufacture and design of decorative and high-quality earthenware, this vase is therefore a beautiful addition for any collector or enthusiast of Art Nouveau earthenware!
