A stunning mid-century illuminated topographic globe that doubles as a table lamp. Warm walnut base, brass meridian ring, raised relief topography in the classic teal colorway. Still showing the Soviet Union in full — a beautiful artifact of Cold War-era cartography.
The original braided electric cord runs through the base. Perfect as a study lamp, library accent, or statement piece in a mid-century modern interior. The kind of object that stops people in their tracks.
Some map loss at the south pole consistent with age. Overall condition is very good for its era. Measures approximately 15" square.
Ships carefully double-boxed with full insurance.
