Originally conceived in 1928 as part of Le Verrier’s iconic Clarté series, Lueur is the smallest sculptural variation of the famed design. The graceful female figure is captured in a dramatic balancing pose, extending a polished banded onyx sphere behind her while standing atop a substantial black marble base. The elongated form, geometric simplicity, and signature verdigris patina are hallmarks of the French Art Deco aesthetic.

Le Verrier’s Clarté series has been exhibited internationally and remains among the most recognizable sculptural designs of the Art Deco movement.
