Here is a vintage New England-style enamelware clam steamer pot decorated with some nice, old-school designs. The pot's three parts include two stacked chambers and a lid. How it works: the top section holds the clams (or other seafood); and the lower section contains the hot, boiling water whose steam rises through the perforations and cooks your seafood. The lid fits snugly to hold in the steam. Ingenious!
Made of enamel-on-steel, it's a durable piece of cookware that'll take the heat on the beach or on your fire pit or kitchen range at home. It's in very nice vintage condition with signs of use you'd expect from a 50-ish year old cookware item. The inside of both chambers are very clean--the wear shows mainly in a few chipped spots on the rim.
Make it a family and friends event and your clambake will be a summer hit.
