Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, nothing outstanding found but a few nicks in original paint mostly on the gold trim. This magnificent Mid to Late 20th Century piece is absolute FIRE!!!!! Quite literally!!! That’s right… This is a burnin’ HOT vintage freestanding or wall mounted electric fireplace by Arvin Industries composed of a beautiful black texture painted metal frame with removeable feet and a tall hood, gorgeous gold painted metal trim details, a black painted metal mesh curtain with lovely brass pulls, and it features FABULOUS faux firewood in the firebox with heat simulating fire glow and realistic crackling effects!!! LOVE IT!!!! This is such a fantastic alternative to a standard fireplace because you get to enjoy the sounds, motions, soft light and ambience of the flames, and the warmth of the heater, without the hassle of cleaning up messy wood or charcoal AND there’s no smoke!! Also, it bears an air vent underneath for safety and ventilation. Not to mention it has removeable feet and is portable so you can literally put it anywhere… OR hang it on the wall!! It would be wonderful in a living room, a den, dining area OR it would be awesome in a sunroom!! How great would it be to have this fireplace in your bedroom? Romantic, relaxing, and marvelous mid-century modern to modern style aesthetic that you are sure to love for years to come!!!

Arvin Industries was a major 20th century American manufacturing company founded in 1919 as the Indianapolis Air Pump Company. They produced a wide array of consumer goods and automotive components in the 1920s including table-top radios, waffle makers, outdoor patio furniture, free standing fireplaces, and electric fans. The company shifted away from consumer electronics by the 1980s and in 2000 Arvin merged with Meritor Automotive and became ArvinMeritor. Then in 2011, the name “Arvin” was completely dropped and ArvinMeritor rebranded as Meritor, Inc. They were eventually acquired by Cummins in 2002.
