An exceptional graduated set of three antique English transferware plates. Two plates in this set retain their pristine, factory-impressed date ciphers, identifying their exact production months as November 1901 and October 1911. This slight variance over a 10-year span beautifully demonstrates how generations of collectors built and matched their inherited 'Spode's Tower' dinner services. This classic deep-blue pattern features an intricately detailed scene of a bridge, a central tower structure, and a beautifully gadrooned, scalloped rim adorned with an ornate floral border.
The set includes three distinct sizes, perfect for an elegant wall display, a layered table setting, or addition to a fine transferware collection. Each piece bears the authentic printed oval "Copeland Spode's Tower England" backstamp.

The transferware prints remain vibrant with deep, rich blue tones and a lustrous glaze. • Large & Medium Plates: Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor, expected age-related shelf wear to the base rims. • Small Plate: Features a single minor, shallow flea bite on the outer rim (visible under close inspection). The reverse side exhibits heavy sand/grit inclusions under the glaze from the original kiln-firing process—a classic testament to its early manufacturing era. less
