One sette, one armchair, one armless chair with cane seats and shielded backs. Painted in a rich, brick red color with handpainted floral & leaf designs as well as more primitive decorative "webs" with stars. I believe these are from the late 1800's-early 1900's. All original labels on underside as well as model numbers. Incredibly sturdy and in excellent condition after all these years. Caning is pristine. I believe this furniture has had no adjustments or changes since purchased many years ago. Beautiful condition.
Please note photo of the 1911-1912 catalog showing similar pieces (different catalog numbers) without cane seating and no hand painted designs like these. J. & J. Kohn published heavily illustrated catalogs of their bentwood and Secessionist furniture at the turn of the 20th century, I think this set may be earlier than the catalogs.
