Rich with character, the wine jar is a fantastic example of provincial, hand-made pottery, shaped with tapered sides, rounded shoulders and a narrow, constrained neck. A dark brown glaze cloaks the vessel inside and out, lingering on the deep ridges etched into the shoulder for added grip and texture.
