The vase displays the characteristic enamel decoration associated with Longwy production, with hand-applied raised enamels creating a striking faux cloisonné effect across the surface. Its baluster form is finished with a glossy green ground carrying an intricate arrangement of stylised foliate and scrolling ornament. The decorative motifs unfold in oxblood red, navy blue, violet, pink and soft buttermilk yellow, outlined by fine borders that accentuate the relief and depth of the enamels. Additional decorative bands frame the neck, shoulder and foot, creating a balanced composition and emphasizing the richness of the palette. Made from faience with a natural bone-coloured glazed interior, the piece demonstrates the decorative ambition associated with French Art Nouveau ceramics of the period, combining fluid ornament with strong graphic patterning.
