A wonderful antique tureen, made of pink ironstone, stamped Sarreguemines, part of the iconic “Fontanges” collection, late 19th century.
Magnificent floral decoration with Gustavian knots and an Art Nouveau garland border on the rim.
It could also be repurposed as an original fruit bowl or a large cake/biscuit tin.
It is in beautiful condition; viewed from the outside and closed, it looks almost new, with a superb shine.
There are some flaws, mainly on the inside, as you can see in the last photo: short cracks and a small dent on the rim.
