The channel-stitched backs are the most immediate feature: five vertical panels rise into softly rounded wingback ears, giving each chair a generous, enveloping presence without heaviness. The geometric repeat of the original wool — small rounded squares rendered in tone-on-tone olive — adds a quiet visual rhythm that is thoroughly of its period.

The oak arms are shaped with care: a smooth, continuous curve rises from the seat rail, flattens across the top into a wide, comfortable resting surface, and curls gently downward at the front. The oak is pale and open-grained, lightening the overall composition and contrasting well against the depth of the green fabric.
