Each plate features individually hand-painted floral sprays and scattered blossoms executed in bright polychrome enamels. The elegant asymmetrical decoration is framed by gently shaped rims highlighted with fine gilding.

The Streublumen pattern originated at Meissen during the 18th century and became one of the factory's most successful and enduring decorative designs. Inspired by botanical studies and naturalistic floral painting, it remains one of the most recognisable motifs associated with Meissen porcelain.

The reverse of each plate bears the underglaze blue crossed swords mark. Despite condition issues, the set retains strong decorative appeal and displays beautifully.

Condition

Very good antique condition. Plate 1 has a crack and signs of repair. Plate 2 has a hairline crack and repair. Plate 3 has a hairline crack, a small chip to the rim and three small cracks to the base rim. All plates show wear consistent with age and use. The decoration remains bright and attractive throughout. This piece has an attribution mark,
