A simple upholstered chair, isolated in a suspended and silent space, takes on an almost anthropomorphic dimension, becoming a symbol, a memory, and an apparition.
The artist eliminates every superfluous narrative element and focuses attention on the evocative power of form. The image, constructed through a soft and vibrant stroke, generates that sensation of temporal suspension that characterizes De Chirico's universe, where objects seem to hold hidden meanings and parallel realities.
The soft varnish technique allows for a particularly delicate rendering of the line, close to drawing, enhancing the atmospheric nuances and the intimate nature of the composition.
