The factory was founded in 1919 by adolfo rossello and a group of partners, and took its name from the ancient roman toponym of albisola. From 1922 it participated in national and international exhibitions (milan fair, monza biennale, exhibitions in tripoli, leipzig, vienna, rome, florence). Collaborating ceramists included, among others, virio da savona, guglielmo bozzano, romeo bevilacqua, carlo frumento, amleto modolo and ivos pacetti. The production favored the shapes and decorations of the ligurian ceramic tradition, with particular reference to the blue and white majolica of savona origin.
