It … Read more Beautifully framed original Art Deco Persil advertisement featuring the White Lady, framed with a blue mat from the 1920s. It is an advertising poster for the detergent brand Persil. The advertisement is characterized by the iconic “Weisse Dame” (White Lady), a character introduced in 1922 by the Berlin artist Kurt Heiligenstaedt. It was inspired by his girlfriend at the time. The slogan “Alles neu macht Persil” (Persil makes everything new) was a frequently used slogan during this period. The design is typical of the Art Deco style, featuring a stylish woman in a trendy white dress and hat, against a background of blossoming branches.
