Its sculptural base has an almost architectural form—a shape that tapers upward, featuring a raw, hand-molded texture.

The most distinctive feature is the striking lava glaze in a vibrant shade of orange, which contrasts with the dark, rough lower part of the base. This textured ceramic, often referred to as fat lava or lava glaze, was extremely popular in European design in the mid-20th century.
