The shade is hand made from opaque glass with a clear pleated rim. The antique shade has a brass gallery and been mounted onto a aged brass long arm wall fitting. These french shades have taken on many names over the years – ‘pie crust’ ‘handkerchief’ ‘frilly’ dimensions: these are all hand made so dimensions can vary slightly,we have a good quantity of these in stock if multiples are required we will match them so they are all consistent in profile and size. Typical dimensions: shade height: ~5.5cm (excluding brass gallery) overall height: ~14cm shade diameter : ~25cm depth from wall : 46cm origin: france circa: 1920s workshop report: the shade is in overall good condition with no chips or cracks. The light has been rewired with ce certified b22 (bayonet) bulb holder and new ce certified flex.
