Exceptional rare meissen porcelain group: a group of three figures in elaborate rococo attire: the young, pretty lady in a bodice dress with a low neckline, a long skirt, a bustle and an apron with abundant pleats; on her hair, tied up high, she wears a brimmed hat with a bow and feather decoration; she rests her left elbow on a high columned pedestal and clasped her right hand to her heart, behind her, the young gallant with thick blond curly hair, wearing a short-sleeved frock coat over a long-sleeved waistcoat, knee-length trousers and stockings, a long striped scarf tied around his hips, seeking to embrace the young woman with his right hand, whilst making a gesture of attentiveness with his raised left hand, which his beloved cannot see. On the right-hand side, peering out from behind the column, a kneeling boy with a worried look presents an upturned hat containing two lovebirds. May their courtship be successful? the group stands on an oval stone and grass plinth with a raised gold frieze decoration on the sides. Particularly elaborate, detailed design and staffage.
