Excellent, rare meissen children group: kneeling girl with long braided hair in a long pink and white dress with elaborate … Read more Excellent, rare meissen children group: kneeling girl with long braided hair in a long pink and white dress with elaborate embroidery, her left arm around the toddler standing next to her in a white shirt and her right arm supporting the grey poodle, which is standing on its hind legs with its front legs raised to earn the sweet the little child is holding in its hand. On flat oval base, indented in the lower half, with circular red triangular mosaic painting. Modeller: max bochmann (1874 - 1942) german porcelain modeller and sculptor; studied at the dresden school of arts and crafts. From 1911 to 1929 he worked for the meissener manufaktur, where he first became an employee of erich hösel. The modeller specialized in the design of figure groups, furthermore especially in children and animal figures.
