In his trademark … Read more French vintage cylindrical ceramic flower vase with plant motif decoration by Alexandre Kostanda, Vallauris, France (circa 1960s). In his trademark natural clay and rustic style, Kostanda created beautifully original vessels, such as vases, pitchers and pots which were at the same time, both utilitarian and stunning works of art. Tactile and visually alluring, these pieces are collected internationally by devotees of Kostanda, one of the founders of the Accolay workshops. This piece is inspired by African and pre-Columbian visual references in their earthy oxides of iron brown and ochre. In very good overall condition. Signed on the underside: 'A.
