An impressive single flower vase by the Australian ceramicist Gillian Dodds from New South Wales, handcrafted during the late 1970s. Her work is based on earth colors, the clay comes from the Mudgee area.
Gillian Dodds is a Sydney-based potter who became interested in ceramics in 1968. She took a part-time course at East Sydney Technical College in 1970 and has been working as a potter ever since, furthering her skills through ceramic study trips to China, Japan and Europe.
She has been a member of the North Shore Craft Group since 1970 and is also an exhibiting member of the Society of Arts and Crafts of New South Wales. She has entries in most of the potters' directories from 1974-1986. This piece has an attribution mark,
