A sculptural pine folding screen produced by Baumann Fils et Cie, Melun-Paris, France, circa 1940s.
Formed from a series of gently undulating vertical panels, the screen displays a beautifully striped grain throughout, with warm honey and caramel tones giving the piece a rich natural depth.
The shaped top edge and flowing silhouette lend the screen a distinctly organic quality, balancing the clean functionalism of mid-century French design with a softer, more decorative sensibility.
