This antique chest from Italy has a rectangular-shaped top which overhangs the case beneath that houses four full-sized recessed panel drawers, each fitted with a pair of hanging pulls, and 2nd and 4th drawer having an escutcheon keyhole at center. This piece is presented upon thick rail feet along each far side with a shallow scallop carved for detail, which wrap into bracket carved feet at front, leaving an open space just under the front apron. Either short side of the chest features a decoratively carved raised panel design. This chest has a custom light/stripped finish, complimented with a pale blue accent trim color. This 18th century Italian chest will make an attractive storage piece in a bedroom, living room, or entry foyer; perhaps topped with one of our fabulous mirrors! See less
