Beautiful, Bronze metal clad golf bookends by Marion Bronze from about 1935. These painted, electroformed bronze bookends are highly collectible and are in great condition with a very few surface level imperfections that do not detract from the overall beauty.
Each bookend is clad in bronze metal and features a golf ball perched on a tee against a painted green background. Flags or pennants of blue, red, orange, yellow, and white showcase bronze numbers 1-9.
Each weigh about 2.8 lbs. They are both hallmarked "M.B." They each measure: 6 1/2 " high, x 4 " wide, x 2 3/4 " front to back.
Composition: A catalog from the 1950s states: “Our skilled craftsmen hand cast each piece into 'Cerama-Stone', a scientific exclusive formula which permits high fidelity reproduction. Each piece is then carefully prepared so that it can be encased in real bronze metal.
They are investment quality Marion bronze antique bookends.
